July 4th: One Generation From Extinction

The Fourth of July is much more than an excuse to have picnics, fireworks barbeque and cash in on retail sales. This day commemorates the adoption of our nation’s Declaration of Independence 241 years ago in 1776. It’s a day to celebrate America and show your patriotism.

Since the birth of our nation, Americans have demonstrated an unwavering patriotism. In fact, Americans have typically expressed more national pride than citizens from other countries, and have unashamedly boasted America as the greatest nation on Earth. (Of course, I would argue that you’re not boasting if you’re simply telling the truth.)

However, the days of patriotism in American may soon be over.

According to a recent report by the Pew Research Center, Millennials are less patriotic than any other previous generation in our nation’s history. The study showed 78 percent of the older generation consider their American identity to be extremely important. But, only 45 percent of millennials feel the same.

The report concluded that the millennials are “detached from institutions … linked by social media, burdened by debt, distrustful of people, in no rush to marry – and optimistic about the future.”

The anti-American Progressive Movement has embraced the doctrine of communist Vladimir Lenin, who said “Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.”

To this end, colleges and universities are indoctrinating our young adults with propaganda that promotes a ‘New World Order’ and globalization, where they are no longer Americans, but so-called “citizens of the world.”

They are taught that national borders are bad, and that every person — regardless of their origin of birth and criminal record — has a ‘right’ to come to America and receive welfare paid for by American taxpayers.

Professors stifle free speech in their classrooms, and set up ‘safe spaces’ where opposing viewpoints are prohibited. If you promote anything that is not in goose-step with liberal views and Progressive politically correctness, you are quickly muzzled, berated, ostracized and often physically assaulted.

As a result, patriotism and the love for our country is lost on this newest generation who will become tomorrow’s leaders. With no love of our country and no understanding of our unique history, what kind of leadership will this generation provide?

On this day of honoring our independence and freedom, please remember the warning given by Ronald Reagan...“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”

Hopefully, the Millennials are not that generation and we celebrate 241 more great years. Fly the flag proudly and show your patriotism today.

Happy Fourth of July! God Bless America!
