Presidential Candidate Bloomberg Says Only Police Should Have Guns

Presidential Candidate Bloomberg Says Only Police Should Have Guns

Jack Wilson is a true American hero, no matter what the left says.  He saved who knows how many lives last month with his quick thinking, his bravery, and his gun.

Jack is, of course, the man who stopped an active shooter in his church in White Settlement, Texas with one single bullet.

A quick recap:

Bad guy comes into church with a gun.  Bad guy wasn’t supposed to have a gun, but bad guys don’t follow the rules.  Bad guy starts shooting the congregation.  Good guy takes out his own gun and ends the threat of bad guy.

From the time the gunman started shooting to the time Jack Wilson shot him dead, six full seconds had elapsed.

Six seconds.

Those are the actions of a hero.  A law-abiding citizen using his skills and tools to stop a criminal from taking more lives.  It’s as simple as tha

Presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg does not agree.  Shortly after the shooting, Bloomberg spoke at an event in Alabama.

In his speech, he said:

“I wasn’t there. I don’t know the facts — that somebody in the congregation had their own gun and killed the person who murdered two other people.

But it’s the job of law enforcement to have guns and to decide when to shoot. You just do not want the average citizen carrying a gun in a crowded place.”

There are so many things I could say about that, but instead I’ll let Jack speak for himself.

Here’s what Jack had to say in an interview on Fox & Friends:

“Even though the White Settlement police department did arrive in roughly two minutes from the time the first call went it, by that time…the carnage would have been much, much worse.”

Jack also said that the gunman had seven additional rounds in his gun and three more in his pocket.  He had already killed two church members.

Our Second Amendment rights, according to Jack, are being “chipped away at all the time.”

“If Mr. Bloomberg would have his security detail turn their arms in and not guard him,” Jack said, “he would be in the same situation as many American citizens are every day.”

President Trump was also not impressed with Bloomberg’s statements.  He addressed the comments on Twitter, saying:

“Now Mini Mike Bloomberg is critical of Jack Wilson, who saved perhaps hundreds of people in a Church because he was carrying a gun, and knew how to use it. Jack quickly killed the shooter, who was beginning a rampage. Mini is against the 2nd A. His ads are Fake, just like him!”

After receiving a lot of deserved negative publicity over his anti-gun-in-the-hands-of-heroes comments, Bloomberg campaign manager Kevin Sheekey also went on Fox & Friends to address it.

The statement was off to a terrible start right from the beginning, saying that Bloomberg didn’t owe Jack an apology.

“Mike Bloomberg and Mr. Wilson disagree. Mike Bloomberg supports his right to own a gun with a background check. We salute him, I salute him.”

Sheekey said Jack deserves to be “honored as a hero” like he has been, and that Bloomberg “supports Wilson’s right to own a gun after passing a background check.”

And yet.  Sheekey continued:

“The question is where he and Mike Bloomberg disagree, which is should anyone who walks out of an insane asylum be able to get a gun? Mike Bloomberg would say ‘no,’ I’m not sure what other people would say.”

What I would say, Mr. Sheekey, is that your idiotic comments not only put (incorrect) words in Jack’s mouth, but also added to your boss’ insensitivity of ripping away the honor due to the hero and his actions.

Jack, who received the Governor’s Medal of Courage from Texas Governor Greg Abbott, said earlier in the month that he doesn’t believe red flag laws would have stopped the incident from occurring.

“In fact, I go the opposite. There are no safe havens.”

Andrew Pollack, father of Meadow Pollack, who was one of the student victims in the 2018 Parkland, Florida, made a powerful statement on Twitter following Jack’s heroic actions.  He said:

“I wish someone like Jack Wilson had been at my daughter’s school. Jack saw a man kill at his church in Texas. He drew his gun and fired one shot – killing the shooter from 50ft away. In 6 seconds, Jack prevented a massacre. Jack is a hero. Be like Jack.”

Bloomberg can bash Jack for exercising his Second Amendment right all he wants, but I’m guessing that if the presidential candidate is ever met with a lunatic with a gun, he’ll be praying Jack Wilson shows up to save him.

Bloomberg clearly stole a line right from his buddy Joe Biden.

Remember what happened with Stephen Willeford?

On November 5, 2017, a man walked into the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas wearing body armor and well armed.  He fatally shot 26 people and wounded 20 others.

Because of a domestic violence conviction in a court-martial while in the United States Air Force, he was prohibited by law from purchasing or possessing firearms and ammunition.

That didn’t stop him.

What DID stop him was a barefoot neighbor with an AR 15.  It’s the same gun that Democrats, including Joe Biden, are pushing to ban.

That hero was Stephen Willeford.

And a few weeks after he stopped the church shooter, Joe Biden said Willeford never should have had the gun that he used to stop the killer.

The comments were made when Joe Biden was asked about the tragedy.

“With the tragedy that just happened in Texas, how do you justify the Democratic view on gun control when the shooter was stopped by a man who was legally licensed to carry a gun?” a young woman in the audience asked Biden.

Biden’s response was disturbing, to say the least.

“Well first of all, the kind of gun being carried he shouldn’t be carrying,” Biden said. “I wrote the last serious gun control law…and it outlawed assault weapons and outlawed weapons with magazines that held a whole lotta bullets so you could kill a lot of people a whole lot more quickly.”

It is imperative that we recognize that Stephen’s intervention saved countless lives.  Because the shooter was wearing body armor, if Willeford had responded with just a pistol, he would also most likely be dead.

“It’s just rational to say certain people shouldn’t have guns,” Biden insisted. “The fact that some people with guns are legally able to acquire a gun and they turn out to be crazy after the fact, that’s life. There’s nothing you can do about that, but we can save a lot of lives and we’ve stopped tens of thousands of people from getting guns who shouldn’t have guns.”

No Uncle Joe, you aren’t stopping the people who shouldn’t have guns from having them. What you are doing is trying to take guns out of the hands of people like Stephen Willeford.

Instead of stating that he should have never had the rifle he used to stop that massacre, you should be applauding him, and then hitting your knees and thanking God Almighty that people like Stephen exist.

Willeford’s response to Biden saying he shouldn’t have had that gun was simple:

“I wonder if his family had been sitting in a pew if he would have said the same thing,” said Willeford.

The media has given Biden and his fellow Constitution-shredding Democrats a platform to run their mouths.  So we decided to give the hero, Stephen Willeford, an opportunity to share the story of what happened that day.  It’s a story you won’t find anywhere else… because when Willeford was told by the media he couldn’t talk about God, he was out.

Welcome to the family, brother.
